Dr Michelle Tan is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician.
She graduated from the University of Adelaide and completed her Respiratory training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) followed by a Sleep Medicine fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). She was also the Chief Medical Resident at the QEH.
Michelle is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and Australasian Sleep Association (ASA).
Her respiratory interests include lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, asthma, and interventional pulmonology (pleural and EBUS) as well as various sleep disorders such as sleep apnoea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, parasomnia and REM behaviour disorder.
Lung cancer referrals can be seen urgently within a week.
She has admission and consulting rights at Ashford, Calvary Adelaide, Calvary North Adelaide, St Andrew's and Burnside Hospitals. Bronchoscopies and pleural procedures are performed at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.
Dr Tan consults at Ashford Thoracics on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
